Jenny and Susie, thank you so very much for sharing your conversation. I am happy you both have found new levels of “being” with one another. I am thinking (and feeling) so grateful to have had such a close relationship with my mother! As a returning adult student, now 61 years young, I absolutely love the power of learning in my life. There is a kind of continuously renewable enthusiasm that I experience, especially when I am in class with thoughtful heartfelt teachers and classmates here at Marylhurst. My only hope is that I soon get to take a class with Jenny!

Huge earthquakes, gigantic volcanic eruptions, monstrous tsunamis, meteorite and comet strikes containing more energy than a large atomic bomb, axis tilting, time changing, disasters beyond description, all of this has produced ... us.

This is great! I love the quote - and Susie, I can relate to the words thing! I'm a graduate student now and I still have to make note of those words so I can look them up - but they don't always stay in my old brain (I'm pushing that 60 mark!).

Anyway - thank you for sharing an intimate moment with us.
